Alerts
There are two types of alerts that will be generated by marketDirection Monitor:
1.When a formation is first identified (but only if the Rank of this new formation is at or above the minimum rank specified in the New Formation Alert Threshold setting).
2.When price moves past the trigger level associated with that particular formation. Consult the formation sections in this guide for more information on the default alert condition for each type of formation. These alerts will be generated once per bar for as long as the alert condition remains true. The sensitivity of these alerts can be adjusted by using the Alert Padding feature.
Alerts can be configured independently for the watchlist and for the chart. So you may want to only have alerts generated by the watchlist component and not in the chart, or vice-versa.
Audible alerts and pop-up alerts are available in both the watchlist component and the chart component. Email alerts are only available in the chart component. See the Setting Up Email Alerts section for more information on how to configure eSignal for email alerts.
