The Chart Zone Tool requires that Params Linking is activated in order to operate so make sure this box is checked.The default is checked (true). (See also: Params Linking) |
Type of Params Linking? |
This option determines how the Params Linking feature will be implemented. Select "Interval" or "Unique Link ID". The default is "Interval". (See also: Params Linking) |
ID (if Type is 'Unique ID') |
Input a numeric value to be used as the link identifier. This only applies if the Params Linking type is set to "Unique Link ID". The default is 1. (See also: Params Linking) |
Display Activity Monitor? |
The Activity Monitor is a gauge that will display in the chart pane and it shows the relative pace at which trades are coming in for the security being charted. Uncheck this box if you do not want to use the Actiivty Monitor. The default is checked (true). See Activity Monitor. |
General Cosmetic Options |

ATR Factor |
This controls the height of the zone that will be drawn on the chart. Set the multiplication factor that will be applied to the ATR of the security being charted. If this factor is set to 0 then only a line will be drawn. Range is from 0 to 20. The default is 1.0. |
ATR Factor (Consolidation) |
This controls the height of the zone that will be drawn on the chart when the formation being displayed is Consolidation. Set the multiplication factor that will be applied to the ATR of the security being charted. If this factor is set to 0 then only a line will be drawn. Range is from 0 to 20. The default is 2.0. |
Bars Left |
This controls how far the zone will extend to the left (in bars). Range is from 1 to 200. The default is 3. |
Bars Right |
This controls how far the zone will extend to the right (in bars). Range is from 1 to 200. The default is 3. |
Bullish Formation Color |
Select the color to be used to draw the zone for bullish formations. The default value is green. |
Bearish Formation Color |
Select the color to be used to draw the zone for bearish formations. The default value is red. |
Default Color |
Select the color to be used to draw the mid-line for Consolidation formation. The default is dark grey. |
Thickness |
Set the line thickness to use to draw the zone. Range is from 1 to 10. The default value is 2. |
Line Type |
Select the line type to use to draw the zone. Select from "Solid", "Dot", "Dash", "DashDot", and "DashDotDot". Default is "Dot". |
Show Prices? |
Check this box if you want to have the prices displayed to the right of the zone lines. The default is unchecked (false). |
Text Fg Color |
Select the color to be used to draw the prices. The default value is grey. |
Font Size |
Set the font size to be used when drawing prices. Range is from 4 to 55. The default value is 7. |
Horz Offset (pixels) |
This value controls the horizontal positioning of the Params Link Indicator in the chart. The default is 5 (pixels). |
Vert Offset (pixels) |
This value controls the vertical positioning of the Params Link Indicator in the chart. The default is 18 (pixels). |
Activity Monitor Cosmetic Options |

Width (pixels) |
Set the width, in pixels, of the Activity Monitor gauge. Range is from 20 to 1500. The default value is 300. |
Font Size |
Set the font size to be used when drawing the Activity Monitor gauge. Range is from 7 to 55. The default value is 10. |
Low Activity Color |
Select the color to be used to indicate a low activity condition. The default is yellow. |
Average Activity Color |
Select the color to be used to indicate a average activity condition. The default is green. |
High Activity Color |
Select the color to be used to indicate a high activity condition. The default is bright green. |
Very High Activity Color |
Select the color to be used to indicate a very high activity condition. The default is red. |
Foreground Color |
Select the color to be used to draw the foreground elements. The default is dark grey. |
Background Color |
Select the color to be used to draw the background elements. The default is light grey. |
Horz Offset (pixels) |
This value controls the horizontal positioning of the Activity Monitor in the chart. The default is 5 (pixels). |
Vert Offset (pixels) |
This value controls the vertical positioning of the Activity Monitor in the chart. The default is 44 (pixels). |
