This section addresses some common issues that can crop up, and we also provide answers to some specific user questions:
I have an Infinity Futures account so I have two Sierra user names, which one do I send you.
|
•Typically you will need to send us your Infinity Futures user name, which will be in the form of TransAct_User_yyyyyy, where yyyyyy is your specific user name.
•Also, if you do have a broker account, your default Sierra Chart installation path may be different so keep that in mind when running the HPC Installer.
|
I have an Infinity Futures account and I tried installing the HPC indicators to the default C:\SierraChart\Data\ folder but it does not appear to be working.
|
In most cases, when you are using Sierra Chart via Infinity Futures your install path will be:
C:\SierraChart\SierraChartTransActMA\Data\
You can confirm this by starting Sierra Chart and then looking in the Sierra Message Log. Somewhere near the top of that log file you should see an entry called:
Data Files path: C:\SierraChart\........
The path displayed there is the path you should type into our HPC installer. If the Message Log is not visible, select the Window option at the top of Sierra Chart and select Message Log from the menu.
Also, if you do select a different path, just make sure there is not an extraneous '\Data\' at the end of the path. For example, using the path above:
C:\SierraChart\SierraChartTransActMA\Data\ would be correct.
C:\SierraChart\SierraChartTransActMA\Data\Data\ would be incorrect (just remove the extra '\Data\' tacked on to the end).

Sierra Chart installs a 32-bit version and a 64-bit version by default. Do the HPC indicators support both versions?
|
•Yes, we support both the 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Sierra Chart. Note that the most recent builds of Sierra Chart are 64-bit only and they no longer provide a 32-bit version. |
I'm running the 32-bit version of Sierra Chart and I notice that my Study Summary dialog looks different than in your examples. |
•Yes, in the 64-bit version of Sierra Chart the actual pattern names will be displayed in the Potential and Pattern columns. Whereas in the 32-bit version of Sierra Chart we display a numeric pattern ID instead of the actual text. •The pattern ID codes are as follows:
o1 = ABCD o2 = Butterfly o3 = Crab o33 = Deep Crab o4 = Gartley o44 = Gartley 886 o5 = Bat o6 = Alt-Bat o7 = Shark o8 = 5-0
•Note that a “3” would be a bullish Crab pattern whereas a “-3” would be a bearish Crab pattern.

I ran the HPC Installer but I'm getting errors when I attempt to load any of the indicators into a chart.
|
•Check your Sierra Chart version number. We require version 2512 or newer. Follow the instructions on our Installer page to check the version and, if necessary, to update to the most current version.
