Harmonic Pattern Collection for MetaTrader 4

Before you begin using the scanner feature you should give some thought to how you want to load the scanner(s). The issue at hand is that if you load a scanner into a particular chart, and then make changes to that chart (i.e., change the symbol, or change the timeframe) then it will cause any scanners attached to that chart to reload. Depending upon the number of symbols involved, the speed of your PC, and how busy the market is, each scanner reload may take some time.

Load All Scanners into a Single Chart

This option (recommended) is best if you have a fixed set of timeframes that you wish to monitor and you have no need or desire to change the scanners during the trading day. In this scenario you would want to pick a chart that you will typically not make changes to during the day, and then load all of your scanners into this one chart. You are free to change the symbol/timeframe in any of the other charts on your desktop, just don't make any adjustments to the chart that is hosting your scanners. If you do happen to change either the symbol and/or timeframe in this chart that is hosting the scanners, just keep in mind that the scanners will reload each time you do so.

Load a Scanner into Every Chart

This option really only makes sense if you want to tie the chart timeframe to the scanner timeframe, and if you ever change the chart timeframe you want the scanner to switch to that timeframe as well. In this scenario you would load a single scanner into each of your charts and you would set the scanner timeframe to "current". Now, whenever you change your chart timeframe the scanner attached to that chart will reload and display results for the new timeframe.
