The Gann Swing methodology was developed by W.D. Gann and the Gann Swing indicator is used in swing trading for trend detection as well as to identify support/resistance levels. It is implemented as a Technician overlay and will operate on any bar interval/custom period available in Technician.

When the Gann Swing indicator is applied, the stair-step pattern it creates makes it much easier to visualize the overall trend as well as to identify recent turning points that can be used for stop-loss purposes. You can specify the number of bars to be taken into consideration for swing construction and you can choose whether or not to ignore outside bars. You can also load multiple copies, each based on a different swing bars value, to monitor minor and major swings, for example.

Make your settings changes and then click on
the Create button to apply them to the overlay.
