/*********************************************************************************************** Title: Bar Numbering Tool for eSignal By: Divergence Software, Inc. Web: http://www.sr-analyst.com ================================================================================================ Project Description: Plots sequential bar numbers above/below bars. Menu has options to control color, font size, location, offset as well as options to control the reset of the bar numbering. Indicator Parameters: ==================== Color: Select the color to be used to draw the bar numbers on your chart. Font Size: Select the font size to be used to draw the bar numbers. Default is 10 and you can select any value between 8 and 55. Bar Number Location: Select between "Below Bar" and "Above Bar". Offset from Bar: Select the offset from the bar at which the bar numbers should be drawn. You can select a value between 1 and 4. Numbering Frequency: Specify the frequency at which the bar numbers should be drawn. The default is 1 meaning that it will draw a bar number for each bar. If the frequency is set to 3, for example, then it will draw a bar number for every 3rd bar. If the horizontal scaling on your chart is very tight then you may need to use a larger frequency number so that the bar number values do not overlap on the chart. Restart Numbering on New Day? Select true or false. If set to true then the number sequence will be reset to 1 on the first bar of each new day. This option only applies to intraday/tick charts. "New Day" Definition: Select between "Use Time Template" and "Use Specific Bar Time". If "Use Time Template" is selected then the time template that is applied to your chart is used to determine the first bar of each new day for purposes of restarting the numbering. If "Use Specific Bar Time" is selected then you can specify a particular bar time that should be used to restart the numbering sequence. Specific Bar Time: Only applies if "Use Specific Bar Time" is selected for '"New Day" Definition'. Type in the bar time (HH:MM) that should be used to restart the bar numbering on each new day. So, for example, if you were using a 24-hour time template but you wanted the numbering to restart as of the 09:30am bar each day rather than as of the first bar after midnight, you would select "Use Specific Bar Time" under the New Day Definition option and you would type in 09:30 under the Specific Bar Time option. Start Date: Only applies if the chart is displaying Daily, Weekly, or Monthly bars. Use this option to specify the bar on which the numbering should start. If no value is specified then numbering will start as of the first bar found on the chart. Disclaimer: For educational purposes only!
